ATLA has received an allegation of possible damage to Aboriginal artefacts due to construction works being undertaken near the airstrip on Wertaloo Station. The Culture, Heritage and Native Title Committee (CHANT) has contacted the Department of the Premier and Cabinet – Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation (DPC-AAR) and they sent an inspection team to the property this week. When the inspectors have submitted their report, ATLA will provide further information.
