Step 1

  • Your application is presented at an ATLA Board Meeting.
  • If it is accepted, you will be notified you are now a member of ATLA.
  • If it is not recognised, then your application is referred to the Culture, Heritage and Native Title Committee (CHANT).

Step 2

  • Your application is referred to the CHANT committee for their recommendation.
  • If it is recommended, the ATLA Board will reconsider your application and you will be notified you are now a member of ATLA.
  • If it is not recognised, then your application is referred to a General Meeting of ATLA Members.

Step 3

  • Your application is referred to a general meeting of ATLA Members for their recommendation.
  • If it is recommended, the ATLA Board will reconsider your application and you will be notified you are now a member of ATLA.
  • If it is not recognised, then your membership application has been unsuccessful.

It is essential for ATLA to have an up-to-date register of members so you can be contacted for important decision-making. If you are a member of ATLA, please use the Confirmation of Membership Form to update your membership details.
