Judgement released by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia – ATLA -v- Rangelea Holdings Pty Ltd

On 20 February 2026 the Court made orders granting ATLA’s request to distribute the Inspector’s interim report (Report) and made orders that the Inspector’s costs are to be paid out of the Master Trust. 

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia has authorised the release of the judgement to all Adnyamathanha Common Law Holders and the special administrator.

The information contained in the Report is private financial information of the Adnyamathanha Master Trust provided to the beneficiaries of the Master Trust.  Some information in the Report has been blacked out – this is personal, private information of some beneficiaries and does not limit the disclosure of the Inspector’s findings regarding the administration of the Master Trust.

    4. Mt Serle Bob’s sister, wife of Quartpot Tommy
    5. Willy Austin Snr
    6. Nicholas Demell
    7. Emily McKenzie, wife of Nicholas Demell
    8. Sydney Ryan
    9. Mary, wife of Sydney Ryan
    10. the siblings Angepena Billy or Mary
    11. Fanny, wife of Angepena Billy
    12. the siblings Sara Johnson, Matilda Johnson, Fred Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Jessie Johnson or Sydney Jackson

  2. identify as Adnyamathanha; and
  3. are recognised by other Common Law Holders under the relevant Adnyamathanha traditional laws and customs as having maintained an affiliation with, and continuing to hold common law rights and interests in, the Determination Area.
